In order to serve our membership, our community, and our region, the Branford Land Trust continues to present materials that help place our mission to preserve open space in historical, cultural, and national context.
Today we would like to highlight the work of Dorceta E. Taylor, a professor at the Yale School for the Environment and a national leader in issues surrounding environmental justice and access to open spaces. Her recent article in Sierra, the national magazine of the Sierra Club, discusses the relationship between racial justice and the environmental movement from foundational moments in the history of modern environmentalism to hot-button controversies of 2020.
