The Branford Land Trust is proud to announce that it is applying for accreditation through the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance. The accreditation process will help ensure that the Branford Land Trust will continue to serve the open space needs of the town for years to come!

The Land Trust Accreditation Program recognizes land conservation organizations that meet national quality standards for protecting important natural places and working lands forever. As part of the process, the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance, conducts an extensive review of each applicant’s policies and programs.

At this time, the Commission invites your input on the Branford Land Trust. It will accept signed, written comments from the public on pending applications. Comments must relate to how Branford Land Trust complies with national quality standards. These standards address the ethical and technical operation of a land trust.
