Saturday, September 12th was a great day for kayakers and canoeists to venture down the Branford River for the 17th year as they paddled from Branford High School to the rock landing around from the Branford Point beach! There were 19 boats that made the whole trip, which takes about an hour and a half, and at least four others who joined in for part of it. If you couldn’t join us, we hope you can next year!
Many thanks to Gary Beach, our volunteer photographer for the day, who got some great shots all along the parade route. He says “It was a fantastic day last Saturday and I appreciate the chance to photo the event. It was really a fantastic group of people. Maybe next year I’ll bring my necky instead of the camera.”
(For those of you in the parade, Gary took individual photos of each of us as we rounded Branford Point. Email the BLT if you’d like a copy of your photo!)
