Hot Off the Press: BLT’s Fall Newsletter!

You’re probably used to seeing the Branford Land Trust at the Branford Festival every year. Or maybe you know us from our popular nature walks and lecture series. You might only be familiar with the BLT from the headlines we make while protecting Branford’s open space and natural resources.

But behind the scenes, there’s so much more going on. Enough to keep this all-volunteer, non-profit organization busy seven days a week all year long!

Have you ever been curious about the BLT? Our newsletter includes upcoming events, ways to get involved, articles about conservation and local plants and wildlife, creative efforts by our members, book reviews, and much more! Check out the Fall issue of our newsletter that includes:

  • “Bill Horne Awarded 2022 Katchen Coley Award For Excellence In Conservation”
  • “Boundaries, Borders,
Fences, And Open Spaces” by guest writer Laura Noe
  • The poem Great Blue Heron At Sunset by BLT member Judith K. Liebmann
  • “Forest Bathing” by Aida Mohd Khairi and Johanyx Rodriguez
Sci.CORPS Supervisors at the Yale Peabody Museum

It also features upcoming events, welcomes new board members, celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the BLT Environmental Day Camp, highlights work by our amazing Trails Crew, and shows you some other scenes around town.

The newsletter is mailed to all BLT members, so JOIN NOW if you’d like to receive printed copies. You can also download the PDF here or view it online at Issuu now.
