Join the Nature Explorer Program on Saturday, October 25, 10:00 AM for this autumn walk. Enjoy the fall leaf colors on this walk and see partial remains of an icehouse on the Hammer property and the adjoining Sliney property, which was acquired by BLT in 2010. Walk leader Truman Sherk knows the history and botany of the property. Truman is a biologist who grew up in Branford and has been actively involved in the Branford Land Trust for many years. He is a former member of the Inland Wetlands Commission. It should be a fun and exciting walk for both youngsters and the adults! (Rain date: October 26) Meet and park at the lot behind Jalapeno Heaven Restaurant (corner of North Main Street and Cherry Hill Road). For more information call (203) 415-1571.
